CSR

We see it as our entrepreneurial duty to operate in an appropriate and responsible manner worldwide.

As part of an international group, we believe quality, social standards and sustainability are inseparably linked. Together with our suppliers, we implement strict adherence to the standards and requirements of amfori. The code of conduct specified therein serves as the standard against which we measure our actions. It comprises social responsibility activities in relation to fair business practices, as well as transparency, reporting and information. We carry out audits in the home countries of our producers and suppliers in line with the amfori qualification and auditing programme.

Should a supplier show to not meet the requirements the first time around, we actively support and advise him as a way to contribute to an improvement in working conditions. What’s more, we guarantee that the amfori requirements continue to be met over time thanks to our own and neutral inspectors and their auditing process. These include: TÜV Rheinland Group, TÜV Nord/Süd Group, SGS, Bureau Veritas, ELEVATE, Intertek, UL VS Limited - Responsible Sourcing, ABS Quality Evaluation and ALGI.

  • The ban on child labour
  • The ban on forced labour and disciplinary measures such as the withholding of identification or physical penalisation

The Wünsche Group is a member of the "Accord on Fire and Building Safety" in Bangladesh.

We promote and support extensive measures and checks at our suppliers, for example in the areas of building safety, fire protection and electrical safety. This allows us to focus our attention on the health and safety of those working there.

Also in the field of textiles, we are currently committed to the DETOX Initiative. It aims to make the manufacturing of textiles completely free of harmful chemicals by the year 2020. The amount of pollutants in wastewater in manufacturing countries should be reduced to the extent that drinking water flows out of the factories in future.

When it comes to the generation, production and handling of food, textiles and other consumer goods, safety and animal protection are likewise important. This means we only use FAD-free (Fish Aggregating Devices) tuna for the production of tinned tuna. For trading with rice from India and pineapple from Thailand, we bank on fair trade and are therefore certified from the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO).

It is important to us that our partners adhere to social standards – no matter where they are in the world.
